Affinity Internet beefed up its SMB offerings with the acquisition of fellow hosting provider Bigstep Monday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bigstep offers automated e-commerce, marketing and promotion services and custom Internet solutions created specifically for small businesses. Affinity is integrating these solutions with its existing managed hosting services, the company said. Bigstep partners include AOL's Small Business channel and Netscape's NetBusiness.

Affinity works with about 1,800 solution providers.

In January of this year Affinity merged with CyberGate, which created a company that has more than 275,000 hosted Web sites and 100,000 customers.
